Christmas Configuration Box

My Configuration box with a Christmas display.
This outer box with three little boxes were left over from another project I'd done a few years ago when I just used the other small boxes.
I've painted the whole box inside & with two coats of gold acrylic paint.
I've used paper from DCWV to line the backs of the boxes.
Then all that was left to do was to add some Christmas decorations.
Most of the pieces you can see were things that had broken off from something else which I'd kept just in case they could used for something else, & hands up who else does this because I'm guessing I'm not along.
The red pine cone Christmas tree was made by my little grandson so I'm hoping this will be somewhere safe to keep it for many years to come.
Lastly I added the feet .

Naughty or Nice Journal Page

For this page I've used red & black Acrylic paint as my back ground.
The holly & baubles are Dylusions stamps,Which have been coloured again with Posca pens.
The other images are stamps by Julie Nutting.
I did use Dylusons red spray ink to colour some of the items on the girl .
I wanted a pattern skirt on the girl so I stamped the image again on a piece of scrapbook paper , cut it out & stuck it down over the first stamped image.
I draw a face on the girl & hopefully it makes you wonder has she been naughty or nice .

GingerBread man card

I'm so pleased with the how this Christmas card turned out .
I've made the Gingerbread man so that he comes off the card & then can be hung on the tree.
The Gingerbread man has been cut from felt using an old Sizzix die , & then blanket stitched around the edge. I've also added eyes, bow, Ric rac ribbon to finish him off.
The paper used is scrapbook paper from Die cuts with a view.
The pinsetter was cut using glitter card & a spellbinders die & the fern is also another spellbinders die.

Follow the Star Journal Page

Another journal page from me using a black page as my starting point.
I used a Dylusions Christmas tree stamp around the outside & coloured the tree & stars with green & gold Posca pens.
I've used gold acrylic paint through a star stencil to give me a all the little stars.
The large star is a die cut that has been painted with gold paint & around the edge I've used glitter dust to give a bit of sparkly.
The words have been stamped with white ink & outlined with the sliver Posca pen.

The Holly & The Ivy Journal Page

Its been a while since I've done anything in my art journal so decided to make a Christmas page now that Christmas songs are being played in most places I go.
I do like this song the holly & the ivy.
I wanted to have a try at working on a black page like I've seen plenty of others do on the internet.
I'm pleased with the out come of my page.
I used a black acrylic paint to cover a page & then with a gold ink pad I had I used a Dylusions holly stamp to decorate around the page.
I've coloured in the holly leaves with a green Posca pen & then roughly out lined the leaves using a gold & white Posca pen.
I used a glittery red gel pen to colour the berries.
The Ivy was cut from a Tim Holtzs dies & the bird is also a stamp from Tim Holtzs.
I stamp the words using a white ink pad & out lined them with the gold Posca pen again.
The music note at the bottom of the page was made using a stencil & out lined in white.

An Autumn Scrapbook page

For this 12x12 Lo I've used two large photo's of the  grand children having lots of fun in the autumn leaves at the park.
My back ground paper is called Maple Grove Hickory from We R Memory Keepers.
I'd used a inverted corner punch on the photo corners & one layer of matting card to make it all more interesting rather then just having the normal straight corners.
The Most of the leaves used are  by reflections a company that supplies Michaels  along with the Acorn embellishment's  .  The large alphas came from Michaels as well.

Scrapbook Layout

Its been quite a wet day today so rather then going out & getting wet I've got on with some crafting .
A scrapbooking Facebook group I belong too set a challenge to use pattern paper for the back ground of your layout.
I've used Fine & Dandy by My Minds Eye for my background .
The paper was double sided & wanted to use a little from either side so I cut off 4inches & flipped the paper over & fixed it together with a strip of extra paper.
I've used some spell bingers dies to cut my shapes & then added a Kaiser Craft rub on quote & two enamel dots

November Tag Swap

The theme for the November Tag swap over at www.ukscrappers.co.uk  this month is Vintage/Retro.
I've gone with the vintage theme for my tags.
For my back ground of my tags I've used a stencil & Distress stains , Fired Brick, Walnut stain, & Crushed Olive.
My images I've used were free images from a craft magazine which I've put onto some card .
I've added some lace rim , twine , & seam binding.
I found some metal embellishments in my stash which I found I could use as well so it all worked out quite well for my tags.

November Postcard Swap

November postcard swap on http://www.ukstampers.co.uk has the theme set as Christmas for this month , because we don't put our postcard in the post till the end of month so by the time our swap partners receive them it will be just going into December.
So here is my offering for the swap.
I've covered my card with an oddment of Christmas scrapbook paper which already looked like a Christmas postcard .
I then stamped the Tim Holtz bird onto some plain card & coloured the image.
Using some other Christmas stamps which were , holly & berries, Santa hat & stars , I stamped them  onto white card & set about colouring them also .
After a bit of cutting out I glued the images onto the postcard & finished everything off with adding some a product called Snowtex onto the Santa hat which gives some texture to the hat while looking like snow , &  added a dear Santa  ticket I found in my Christmas stash & wrote I can explain.

WOYWW 321

It's been a couple of weeks since I join you all for What's  On Your Work desk Wednesday, it's life that keeps getting in the way sometimes, but never mind i'm back again.
On my desk today is my grandsons little red car that needed the head light gluing back on .
My monthly project life album which has my grandsons sports day photo's . I've had to cover a few people up, as I don't want to upset anyone by showing faces without permission.
To the right are odds & ends that have been used for scrapbooking & this project.
Sorry if I'm late getting back to you this week its because Grandson is coming round today & we are going Geocaching again.
If you don't know what Geocaching is here's a link http://geocaching.co.uk/getting-started/welcome/

Hello Gorgeous ! Scrapbook layout

Last week MaryAnne from http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/put put a thread called Sultry Summer stash bash  " Try it Thursday 2 "  which had this sketch to try
I had some photo's which I was going to use in a mini album but know they would just as well on 12x12 layout using this sketch.
Here is my layout using this sketch .

The yellow back ground paper is from Paper Mania & the other pieces are Cherry Delicious , & Sweet marmalade by Sassafras . The arrow & the cute little elephant are from my stash & I like the stitching detail around it because the sewing looks like I've done it myself.
The words used a rub on's from K&Co.

Dasiy picking Layout

I found this sketch on Pintrest from Scrapbook.com & when I saw it I know that I had the perfect photo's to use along with this sketch.

On a trip to our local park, my Grandson  kept stopping to pick the daisies for me . Trouble was all you got were the daisy heads & no stork but he was happy .
The grass back ground paper I've had for a long time & to be honest it was another piece of paper I'd forgotten all about . It's not till you dive into your paper stash properly  that you rediscover the sheets of paper you were saving for that special project.
The other pieces like card flowers & odd paper pieces were all from scraps bag.
The letters were all cut using two different Sizzix dies.

4th of July Journal page

Happy 4th of July to all American's across the pond.
My journal page was made using red, white, blue, & gold acrylic paints . The same ones I'd used for my tags in the post below.
With a stencil and gold & white paints it added another layer to my page.
The image I found on the internet somewhere & I can't remember where , ( I know i'm useless) & my letters have been cut with a sizzix die.

July Tag Swap

I'm hosting the July Tag swap on http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/ with the theme stars & stripes.
As many Americans will be celebrating  the 4th of July , their independence day I thought I'd used the on my tags this month.
So this is what I've used to make my tags .

My back ground for the tags was done using blue, red, white acrylic paints which was put on using a dry brush using an up & down strokes until the colours blended & I was happy with it. This then gave me my stripes.  Over this I used gold acrylic paint through a star stencil . With a bottle lid I dipped the rim of the lid in white acrylic paint to give the circles.
I put the tags to one side to let them dry thoroughly & got on with cutting three pieces of red card &  run them through a Tim Holtzs embossing folder & then with a dry brush & a little gold paint I lightly went over the raised area so that it high lighted them. I edged the card with gold paint as well.
Next my flags were cut using a sizzix die & the other shapes in blue have been cut with a spell binders die.
The flags have been painted with the red, white & blue acrylic paint & then once again all have been edged with gold paint.
I went through my stash & pulled out the white die cuts . The lady holding the flag was an image from the internet, & the gold letters I cut using another sizzix die.
The green leaves in the first picture you can see have been cut using a spell binders & Tim Holts die.
So now I can show you my finished tags for the swap.
A side view of the tags & I'd finished them off with blue & white and  red & white twine from my stash.

The theme I've set for July is fishes/underwater.
On my postcard I've applied paperartsy acrylic paints using a baby wipe to pull the paint up & down on the card so that the paints blend together.
The stamped images are stamps from the Dylusions range  & give a fun feel to my card.
The pink letters I've cut using a sizzix die  .

Cards for school fete again

The last batch of cards made ready to give to my Grandsons school for the fete tomorrow.
I've made some robot cards using up oddments of scrap paper & card.
The robots cogs & gears have been stamped using different inks so that there is some variety.

My next card I used this card example I found on pintrest   by http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/01/bermuda-stars.html

This is my card using the same card for my inspiration . The stamped image is a whiff of joy stamp that I brought a few years ago & had only used it once . The paper is again oddments of scrap booking paper . The star were cut using a sizzix die.
My last card is once again oddments of paper to make a simple card. I've amazed myself at how creative with my scraps.
