Card in a box

My first attempted at making a card in a box.
It's our wedding anniversary today & I thought I'd make a card in a box for my long suffering hubby.
I was amazed at how easy they are to make & I'll defiantly will be making another , maybe a birthday one i think.
Products I've used are black card, scrapbook paper by paper mania & die cut hearts. Cream flowers which i gone round the edge with a Surkura glitter pen & a black brad for the centre.
I've used some wire to give the hearts some support & height.

Three tags made for June's monthly swap i'm taking part in over on UK Scrapper, hosted by Netty.
The theme for this month was song titles .
My tags are based on Lady GaGa's hit Poker Face.
The tag back ground was made using Dylusions stray ink , London blue & Bubble gum pink. Over the spray inks once dried I used Perfect pearls mist Bronze which gives it a lovely shimmer when moved in the light.
The stamped imaged I've used is a Stampers Anonymous stamp from Tim Holtzs.
Finally as you can see I've used a playing card for the body.
Really enjoyed making my tags for this month .

Postcard Art

My little bit of postcard art for this months challenge set by Sam over at UKstampers.
It was an open theme but she did want us to use circles & stars on our card.
My back ground was made using these items,  Dylusions back ground stamp , Versa magic Eggplant, Paperartsy acrylic paint Pansy & Tim Holtzs Dabber acrylic paint Pool.
My images I've used are from some  Paperarty stamps I've got & this bird stamp I've used on so many different projects before.

Altered word Love

I found this yesterday in the Cancer research shop for a £1 . It was a little scratch in places but that didn't matter because i knew with a little paint i could change it.The original color was off white so i started going around the outside with paperartsy Pumpkin soup acrylic paint.
I gave the out side  two coats of pumpkin soup & when that was dry i applied Guacamole acrylic paint to the front.
the front was given a second coat also . I dabbed the paint on with sponge & very carefully with the sponge wiped over it , this way i found there is no brush marks & gives a nice smooth finish.
I found a butterfly in my stash that i'd already distressed at some point.
To this with a sponge again i wiped over the with Guacamole & Pumpkin soup to make the butterfly match the word .
When dried i painted on Sparkle mod pod which gives it a lovely sparkle & add three gold gems.
It's a same the picture does not pick up the lovely sparkle .

Christmas Card

A Christmas card made using cream card , scrapbook paper & molly Bloom stamped images.
I know many crafters have already been making a head start on there Christmas cards for this year & this is my first .
A crafting friend gave me a card from her Hunky Dory card kit to make up which had the same folds . I wanted to see if i could make my own card with the same folds & steps.
