February Postcard Swap.

This my entry for the February's postcard swap on ukstampers .
The theme set by Sid who is running the swap was to use a face anywhere on your postcard.
The face I've used was cut with a die by Leonie Pujol on black card.
I've used Acrylic paint by Martha Stewart & paperartsy for my colours & a versa fine ink pad Vintage Sepia with a Kaiser craft wood grain stamp.
The hexagons are also die cut using Diamond press dies & stamp a checkerboard pattern on them with a darkroom door stamp.

January Postcard Swap

Ukstampers postcard swap for January has an open theme so anything thing goes.

Here is my entry for this swap.

My base card was covered using Paperartsy 's acrylic paints , Smurf, Very Berry, Pansy , & Guacamole , which were applied using a baby wipe to help blend the colours together.

On a separate piece of card I used very berry & guacamole then stamped my flowers images over that once dried along with the quote stamp which are all from the same stamp set from Paperartsy.

Then cut out & stuck down.

I've used a white Poca pen to edge the flowers & the postcard.  

The leaves are a Dylusions stamp & painted with Guacamole .

October postcard swap

The postcard swap on ukstampers this month has the theme of Autumn .

Here is my entry for the swap.

The colours I've used on my postcard are Tim Holtzs distress inks for my back ground & the leaves .
The inks are Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick, & Mowed Lawn.
The stamps used are by Stampendous.
Autumn is one of my favourite  seasons just when the leaves on the trees are turning from green to red & orange & you get the sunlight shining on & through the leaves which is a delight to see before the leaves fall from the trees. 

September Postcard Swap

The postcard swap on ukstampers for September is Anything with Wings.

I've used a die cut from a Tim Holtz die of a dragonfly which was cut using white card & then painted over with Paperartsy acrylic paints , Smoked Paprika & Lime Light .
I've also used these two paint colours for the back ground of my postcard.
The lettering & the dots are stamps by Dylusions.

August Postcard Swap

There is a Nautical theme for the postcard swap on http://www.ukstampers.co.uk/ this month.

Here is my take on the theme.

I made my back ground using blue & green acrylic paints using a dabbing motion with a baby wipe & paint.
The fish stamps are graphic 45 & the quote is a stamp by Crafty individuals.
The anchor & chain were cut from two dies by Kaiser craft.

The theme which has been set for this month is use Peach & Green on your postcard.
I've used Paperartsy Butternut & Limelight Acrylic paints for my colours.
The stamped image is a Julie Nutting stamp.
The quote is from a stamp set by Kaisercraft.
I've gone with a simple looking postcard this month .

June Postcard Swap

There is a postcard swap that runs every month over on http://www.ukstampers.co.uk/forums/index.php

The theme for this month is flowers.

I found it quite easy today to sit down and make my postcard for the swap because its a lovely warm day with a beautiful blue sky .

For my back ground & stamped flower image I'd chosen to use Paperartsy acrylic paints, Limelight, Smurf, Snowflake, & Smoked Paprika.
The birds are stamps by Crafty Individuals & the flower stamps are by JOFY 12.
  

Postcard Swap

This is my postcard for the postcard swap over on ukstampers.co.uk

The theme for April was use a face .

I've gone with a Dylusions face stamp & for the hair I've used a stamp by Paperartsy.

Using a boarder stamp around the outside it makes a nice frame for the postcard.

The letters I cat using a sizzix alpha die.

Here is a list of the different things I've used to make my card.
Paperartsy Acrylic paints Butternut, Pumpkin soup, & Limelight.
tamps used are Paperartsy & dylusions.

March Postcard Swap

The theme for the postcard swap over at http://www.ukstampers.co.uk

is to use spring colours.

I've used Claudine Hellmuth Studio acrylic paint Yellow Pastal & Landscape green through a stencil to give me my back ground.

I then stamped over this with a Jofy paperartsy stamps & colours with the same paints as my back ground.

I stamped a butterfly & used alpha stamps by Tim Holtzs.

The circles I've used Cosmic shaimmer Penny Copper through a stencil.

I'm pleased with how my postcard turned out & fits in with spring colours.

Happy New Year Postcard Swap

Happy New Year Top All .

 

January means its time to  restart the postcard swap on ukstampers.co.uk.

The theme is New Years Resolution.

I've used a page from a book as my back ground which has acrylic paint applied using a baby wipe .
Over this I done a little stamping with ink & more paint .
I coloured a stampotique image then cut her out & stuck her on the card.
With a sizzix balloon die I cut two balloons & added silver peel offs as string then wrote my resolution in side.

November Postcard Swap

November postcard swap on http://www.ukstampers.co.uk has the theme set as Christmas for this month , because we don't put our postcard in the post till the end of month so by the time our swap partners receive them it will be just going into December.

So here is my offering for the swap.

I've covered my card with an oddment of Christmas scrapbook paper which already looked like a Christmas postcard .
I then stamped the Tim Holtz bird onto some plain card & coloured the image.
Using some other Christmas stamps which were , holly & berries, Santa hat & stars , I stamped them  onto white card & set about colouring them also .
After a bit of cutting out I glued the images onto the postcard & finished everything off with adding some a product called Snowtex onto the Santa hat which gives some texture to the hat while looking like snow , &  added a dear Santa  ticket I found in my Christmas stash & wrote I can explain.

September Postcard Swap

This months postcard swap on ukstampers.co.uk  has the theme of back to school.

This is my postcard for the swap.

I've used Kraft card for my back ground .

I've used a Stampotique man weasel  & added the words I love my teacher.

The blackboard is just a black piece of card which I added the sum & alphabet using a white Poca pen.

I stamped a black boarder around the postcard & added two images of pencils .

I wanted to keep my card quite simple & not go over the top adding to many bits.

August Postcard Swap

The theme I have set for the August swap is to frame an image on your postcard, or you can frame the whole postcard.

This is my creation for this months swap.

I used a B line stamp called the Steamer. I then used a rope stamp on some paper that had been coloured using acrylic paint & then cut it out to make a frame around the steamer.

July Postcard Swap

I'm running a postcard swap over on http://www.ukstampers.co.uk/,

The theme I've set for July is fishes/underwater.

On my postcard I've applied paperartsy acrylic paints using a baby wipe to pull the paint up & down on the card so that the paints blend together.

The stamped images are stamps from the Dylusions range  & give a fun feel to my card.

The pink letters I've cut using a sizzix die  .

Postcard & Atc's for swapping

 Another postcard which I made for a swap at ukstampers.
I've used dylusions spray inks & the character is a dylusions one. The letters & numbers were cut using a sixxiz die.

Here are two atc's which I've made for a swap at my local craft group. ready for swapping in July.
The theme for this swap was stars & stripes.
The flay was cut using a sizzix die and then painted red, white & blue .
For my back ground I've used acrylic paint & cut some more letters & a number using a sizzix die again.

June Postcard Swap

I've taken over the running of the Postcard swap from Sam who had been organizing the monthly swap over at http://www.ukstampers.co.uk for quite a while .

I've enjoyed taken part in the monthly swap & when a request for a new host  was put up I volunteered to take over as I didn't want to see the swap close.

The theme I have set for this month was to include numbers somewhere on the postcard.

Using two different dylusions stamps for my  back ground & with Archival inks Aquamarine & Egg Plant I stamped my back ground onto a mustard colour card.

The glass dome & the little monster are also Dylusions stamps. The eggs inside the dome were sticker embellishment from K&Co .

I've used Paperartsy acrylic paints guacamole & pumpkin for my back ground & with versa magic ink cloud white I've stamped using Dylusions back ground stamps.
The clock & the quote are stamps by paperartsy .
The little man is a stamp by stampotique.

Post card art Swap

Here's my entry for the post card swap taking place over at ukstampers.co.uk arrange by sam.

The theme for this month was weather.

I've tried to capture the weather we've had in out part of the world so far this month, with snow hail 7 rain.

 For my back ground I've coloured my card with Claudine Hellmuth Acrylic paint , Landscape Green & Sky Blue. Over this I've used a Dylusion stamp & Versa magic Ocean Dept..
To get the black shadow around the man & his umbrella I've used the cut out below as my template & added the black paint & then stuck the die cut over the top but placing it a little to one side to give the showdown effect.
