Happy Wednesday to you all in blog land.
I hate wrapping presents at the best of times , but this year i thought i'd put a little more effort into my wrapping & hopefully surprise the family at the same time.

I've used some baubles, ribbon , bells, & holly Silk holly leaves ,  to as a little something extra on a few presents i'm giving to my family. 
I would like to wish everyone out there a Very Merry Christmas & New Year . Hope Santa brings you all lots of lovely presents.

Christmas cake

Well thats my christmas cake is finally decorated.
Just need to get some presents wrapped then we are all set for the big day.

I've been decorating a candle which will sit on the table for christmas.
Here is how i got the stamped images on the candle.
I brought a white candle & had some white tissue paper which i had saved from inside a parcel earlier in the year.
I used Green Tea versa color, Galexy Gold Brilliance inks & Red Sekura gelly roll pen.
The stamps i used are made by Inkadinkado.

I stamped my images onto the white tissue paper & with the red gelly roll pen i added the berries.
This takes no time at all to dry but i left it for 15mins just to be on the safe side, as i've done in the past when i'd done this.
Cut around your stamped images & then one image at a time position this image on the candle.
With a crafters heat gun i carefully used it to very slightly melt the wax which makes the tissue paper wet . This only takes a few seconds to do this with the heat gun & when the wax sets again all your left with is your stamped image & you can't see the tissue paper.
I discoved how to do this on youtube a few years ago. So if your one of those many lovely people who show how  to do this i thank you all.

Gift tag & chocolate wrap

Here's a gift tag i made , which has a little pocket to hold some small christmas craft tickets.
I made a matching wrap for a bar of chocolate .
I was so tempted to eat it but i was good & did'nt give in to temptation.

On my desk today are some Atc's i'm working on.
I'm in a Graphic 45 atc swap over on splitcoaststampers. I've signed up for Steampunk , alice in wonderland ,& christmas past.
Here are my steampunk ones i've completed so far.

 

I've added metal charms  to all three & this one i've added a small hinge to make a flap revealing the words steampunk graphic 45.

The tags i was working on last week have arrived at their destination so i know it's safe to show all.

I'm in the process of making 7 tags for a swap i'm doing over on ukscrappers, for a group i'm in .
I can't show you to much today because one of the ladies will see before  she gets them what i'm doing & don't want to spoil it for her.

I've covered the tags up with the Paper Mania  patteren paper that i've used to make a flower so i don't give to much away.
I used steam punk  stamps from Paper Artsy to make the flower & place a clog in the centre & sercured that with a small pink brad.
Well thats me done for now i must get on because i've got the rest of the flowers to cut out. Happy Whats on your work desk Wednesday to all.

With Halloween well & truely now over  i'm back working on my Christmas apples that i started working on a few weeks ago.

After sewing five of the cut out shapes together & puttting stuffing inside it forms a ball shape.
I cut out some leaves & used cross stitch thread to do a running stitch along the leaves to make it look like the veins which you get on real leaves.

Using a long sewing needle & the same cross stitch thread which was used on the leaves , i sercured the thread at one end & pushed the long needle right up through the middle of my apple until it came through the over end.
Then i attached two leaves & the brown stem which is made from felt.
I then pushed the needle back down through the apple until it came out the bottom, i repeated this twice more .

 

Here is the finished apple .

Here's a sample of what i plan to do with them once i've finished making some more. i thought they would look nice arranged in a christmas dish with some fir cones around them.

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween fellow Bloggers. I'm really getting into this Halloween lark .
I'm all ready for tonight when the children come calling for trick or treat .
We had two set of children come calling last night , so lets hope i get lots of caller tonight .
I've even managed to crave a pumpkin for this year .

 

Halloween card

Here is a Halloween card i've made using High hope stamps. I love this witch stamped image she has such a cheeky smile so she must be a good witch . I coloured the images in using my whisper pens.

The high hope stamps i've used are, Sitting Witch Poo & Pumpkins. No tricks. Pumpkin Fall boader.

Happy Wednesday fellow bloggers, it's Whats on your work desk wednesday  again number 125.
I'm getting a head start with making up the Trick or Treat bags ready for Halloween night .
I've been stamping using the halloween stamps i brought from Micheals craft store in America. I picked these stamps up from the dollar rack.
The Black , Brown & Orange card were in my scraps of bag so this project was a good why of using up some scrap card. So you might notice that not all bag tops have been cut to the same size.
I used my Martha Stewart cobweb punches on the card as well .
The bag nearly full of sweets we got from a recent trip to Florida where we attended Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom where you get to go to lots of trick or treat  stations dotted about Magic Kingdom with your bag & the cast members put handful of sweets & chocolate in your bag.
I brought my goodie bag home with me & thought it would be a great idea to make up trick or treat bags as i'm not going to eat all the sweets we were given.
The Skeletons, & heads i got from Wilkinson last year .

Halloween Tag

My Halloween tag for my friend .
First i ink the cobweb  folder from  Tim Holtz's texture fades halloween & cobweds set , with Distress ink Rusty Hinge, placed some yellow card in the folder then run it through my Big shot Machine. Doing this put ink only on the imprint of the cobweb.
Then i went over the card with a little rusty hinge & then  Crushed olive from the distree range to darken the card.
From tim's other texture fades Halloween Night & Poison set i embossed both onto white card then cut round the skull & coloured with rsty hinge again & red. I coloured the cat black & cut out the image to use on the tag.
The other embellishments are martha stewarts halloween.
The Black head with the arms is a plastic one i got from a packet last year from Wilkinson, i stuck some gold gems in the eyes to make it look more scary. To finish off my tag with some wool &  black ribbon as well .

It's been quite a few weeks since i've been on my blogg & joinned in with Julia's What's on your workdesk wednesday.
I'm in the process of making Apples out of strips of christmas fabric. Bottom right of the picture is the shape i'm using & it takes five cut out pieces of fabric to make one apple, & four smaller pieces to make the leaves.

Birthday card

Here's a birthday card i've made .
I stamped the fish & sea floor scene on some plain white card then coloured the images in & then cut them out .
I put some paper on a card then stuck the images down .
Once everything was in place i then stamped the bubbles.
All stamps are from a company called High Hopes .

Note Book

I wanted to try Decopatch & so did a few friends . One of the friends said she had already try it & would be happy to help us all out. She suggested it would be better to start a small project first just to mess about with.
We all made note book covers.

I like the effect & will be doing this again .

Close up of maze book

 This is my fourth attempted to take extra photo's of my maze book as requested & this is the best i can do with my camera right now. I've know idea why i can take a decents shot right now with it .
I can't saw the whole of the inside tags because this is a gift for someone & i can't ask them right now if i can show thier faces becasue it will spoil the gift. Hope everyone understands.

I've finished my my little maze book now . I did'nt want to add to much to the front cover so just added a Tim Holtz's book plate with the word Mummy inside.

ATC's

Something quite different from me today.
I joinned an atc swap over on rubberstapchat and the challenge set for the atc's were you were only allowed to use one stamp.
We could'nt just stamp one image and say that was it i've made an atc ,,, oh no that would have been far to easy.   You had to use that one stamp more then once & if a different way.           
Here is what i did to make my atc's
I used distress inks to colour the back ground for my     
base card & stamped the cogs image over that.
On a seperate piece of card i used black UTEE and
a light dusting of prefect pearls over the top before i
heated it up with my heat gun. As soon as it had
melted i pressed the same cog stamp down into the
utee and left it to cool down for 5 minutes.

I had to make 13 Atc's all the same 

Exploding box

On tuesday i was crafting with some friend & eveyone wanted to make an exploding box because not everyone had made on before.
This is my creation . It was'nt until today that i add the butterflies in the centre of the box.

I would like to give credit to the person who came up with sticking the butterflies onto ascetate but i can remember for the life of me where i'd seen this idea so i'm very sorry for not giving proper credit to you be name.

Good morning fellow woyww's, here on my desk this chilly wednesday morning  is the maze book i've been making . I've just got the cover to make then it's all done. I'm hoping to make the cover for this little album tomorrow .

Gift box finished

A few weeks back on my blog i had shown a box i was making for a brackelet that i had also made . I got everything ready to decorate the outside of the box then put everything to one side & started  a different project .

Yesterday i decided to get my little box decorated & i'm pleased with the result.

I had already glimmer misted 2 white flowers to match the paper , but then i was messing about folding paper to see if i could make some little rosette flowers . I have'nt got a die that will cut it out for me so i cut some strips of paper and started to fold my paper strips at  1/4 inch.  I was amazed at how easy these were to make and could kick myself for not making these rosette flowers before.

So here's my box finished .

Good Morning fellow crafters, another week for whats on your work desk wednesday,
My desk this week is a little more messy the normal.
Over on ukscrappers i've entered the weekly challenge again . This weeks challenge is to use the word home on your  lay out ,use a trio of things , use your favorite colour & add a list.

The paper i've used i have had for quite a few years & have no idea what make it is.
It really did'nt need much adding to this paper becuase i like the flower pattern so much & wanted a lot of it showing.
Other project on my desk that i'm working on is my loo roll mini album & a maze book . this time next week i might even have them both finished .

I'm making a toilet roll mini album.
Here on my desk for whats on your work desk wednesday you can see i've made a start by painting my loo roll inside and around the out side edge with a bright green Acrylic paint.
I know these have been around for a while so it's high time i made one.

I've used the black card as the back ground , A birthday celebration, & the buttons and ric rac are my free items , I took them off of a birthday card that i had recieved so i'm claiming that as my free items.

It was far to hot for me yesterday,  so i stayed in and got on with two LO.
This is the LO on my desk right now. 
The picture's were from a long weekends stay on the Isle of Wight .
My base card is from the paper company.
All the paper used is from the
Echo Park Splash collection.
I used a Sizzix die to cut out the fancy corners for on one of my photo's , which is something else i've not used in a long time.

Birthday card

A card for my friends birthday. The stamped image is a High hope stamp , I got this from a High hopes card swap that i was in. I coloured the image using my Derwent water colour sticks , which are a bit like crayons.

For whats on your work desk wednesday i'm showing the box i'm in the process of making for the bracelet that is now fisished.
I got out my crafters companion box maker which has'nt seen the light of day for a few years now. It was another one of those thing that you see & buy thinking thats just what i need i'd used that ,,, I used it once and then put it away like many other things i've brought.
Anyway i was looking through  my paper stash & could'nt believe that i had paper which has the same colours as the beads on the bracelet.
I've lined the inside of the lid & base
Both papers are from K&Co
The lace & two flowers have been glimmer misted
with Tattered Angles Tuscan
Bright pink ribbon ,
My plans for the box lid are to have the lace trim wrapped round the outside with the pink ribbon placed on topto form another band round the box.
The flower paper will be used to decorate the top of the lid along with the two flowers as well.

Here we are again another wednesday to show whats on our desks.

Today on my desk i've a bracelet i'm making . I've never done any jewellery making before so this is a first for me.

I thought i'd start with something quite simple , which it need's to be for me as i'm not known for being the sharpest pencil in the pack, LOL. 

Anyway i've seen one being made & all you have do is thread beads at random on to the memory wire.
