What's on your work desk Wednesday # 377

Its been awhile since I've join in with what's on your work desk Wednesday.
The time has just been rushing past & I've been having lots of time with young grandsons.
If you would like to find out more about head over to Julia's
My kitchen worktop has become my desk this morning painting a grave stone I've made for Halloween.
It's ok I've not lost the plot yet, it's just that I've got a couple of other project planned for Halloween & need to get started now.
I've put black paint on & with a  stipple brush & sponge I've gone over with the grey paint.
Still got a little more to do yet to it but it's taking shape slowly.
Forgot to mention it made from an old piece of wood.

Ukscrappers layout Challenge

This weeks challenge on http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/ has been set my Sue
Sue wanted us to use this as our colour palette & use this sketch as our starting point.
We also have to make our title a rhyming or repeating two-word phrase.
This is my layout .
I've use the words Squirt, Squirt  which goes well with this theme of using two words phase.
Children really don't need expensive toys to have lots of fun.
This is my grandson washing his bike .
A small bowl of water with a cloth & an empty washing up liquid bottle filled with water to squirt water at his bike .
This amused him for ages.

August Tag Swap

I've made three tags for this month tag swap over on http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/index.php
The theme is Nautical.
As I've not felt very creative this week & I'm pleased at how my tags have turned out .
I tried to make them look quite fun by using the crab images which is a Dylusions stamp .
I've used stamps by Dylusions , Graphic 45, & Crafty individuals.
The chain & Anchor have been cut using dies by First Editions.
I found some fish & sea charms in my stash & added them because they fitting in with the theme.

August Postcard Swap

There is a Nautical theme for the postcard swap on http://www.ukstampers.co.uk/ this month.
Here is my take on the theme.
I made my back ground using blue & green acrylic paints using a dabbing motion with a baby wipe & paint.
The fish stamps are graphic 45 & the quote is a stamp by Crafty individuals.
The anchor & chain were cut from two dies by Kaiser craft.
If your interested in joining in with the postcard swap pop over to ukstampers to fine out more .
