WOYWW 321

It's been a couple of weeks since I join you all for What's  On Your Work desk Wednesday, it's life that keeps getting in the way sometimes, but never mind i'm back again.
On my desk today is my grandsons little red car that needed the head light gluing back on .
My monthly project life album which has my grandsons sports day photo's . I've had to cover a few people up, as I don't want to upset anyone by showing faces without permission.
To the right are odds & ends that have been used for scrapbooking & this project.
Sorry if I'm late getting back to you this week its because Grandson is coming round today & we are going Geocaching again.
If you don't know what Geocaching is here's a link http://geocaching.co.uk/getting-started/welcome/
I nearly forgot to say head over to Julia's place http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/ to join the fun seeing everyone's desk.

Hello Gorgeous ! Scrapbook layout

Last week MaryAnne from http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/put put a thread called Sultry Summer stash bash  " Try it Thursday 2 "  which had this sketch to try
I had some photo's which I was going to use in a mini album but know they would just as well on 12x12 layout using this sketch.
Here is my layout using this sketch .

The yellow back ground paper is from Paper Mania & the other pieces are Cherry Delicious , & Sweet marmalade by Sassafras . The arrow & the cute little elephant are from my stash & I like the stitching detail around it because the sewing looks like I've done it myself.
The words used a rub on's from K&Co.

Dasiy picking Layout

I found this sketch on Pintrest from Scrapbook.com & when I saw it I know that I had the perfect photo's to use along with this sketch.

On a trip to our local park, my Grandson  kept stopping to pick the daisies for me . Trouble was all you got were the daisy heads & no stork but he was happy .
The grass back ground paper I've had for a long time & to be honest it was another piece of paper I'd forgotten all about . It's not till you dive into your paper stash properly  that you rediscover the sheets of paper you were saving for that special project.
The other pieces like card flowers & odd paper pieces were all from scraps bag.
The letters were all cut using two different Sizzix dies.

4th of July Journal page

Happy 4th of July to all American's across the pond.
My journal page was made using red, white, blue, & gold acrylic paints . The same ones I'd used for my tags in the post below.
With a stencil and gold & white paints it added another layer to my page.
The image I found on the internet somewhere & I can't remember where , ( I know i'm useless) & my letters have been cut with a sizzix die.

July Tag Swap

I'm hosting the July Tag swap on http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/ with the theme stars & stripes.
As many Americans will be celebrating  the 4th of July , their independence day I thought I'd used the on my tags this month.
So this is what I've used to make my tags .

My back ground for the tags was done using blue, red, white acrylic paints which was put on using a dry brush using an up & down strokes until the colours blended & I was happy with it. This then gave me my stripes.  Over this I used gold acrylic paint through a star stencil . With a bottle lid I dipped the rim of the lid in white acrylic paint to give the circles.
I put the tags to one side to let them dry thoroughly & got on with cutting three pieces of red card &  run them through a Tim Holtzs embossing folder & then with a dry brush & a little gold paint I lightly went over the raised area so that it high lighted them. I edged the card with gold paint as well.
Next my flags were cut using a sizzix die & the other shapes in blue have been cut with a spell binders die.
The flags have been painted with the red, white & blue acrylic paint & then once again all have been edged with gold paint.
I went through my stash & pulled out the white die cuts . The lady holding the flag was an image from the internet, & the gold letters I cut using another sizzix die.
The green leaves in the first picture you can see have been cut using a spell binders & Tim Holts die.
So now I can show you my finished tags for the swap.
A side view of the tags & I'd finished them off with blue & white and  red & white twine from my stash.

July Postcard Swap

I'm running a postcard swap over on http://www.ukstampers.co.uk/,
The theme I've set for July is fishes/underwater.
On my postcard I've applied paperartsy acrylic paints using a baby wipe to pull the paint up & down on the card so that the paints blend together.
The stamped images are stamps from the Dylusions range  & give a fun feel to my card.
The pink letters I've cut using a sizzix die  .
