Art Journal Page
I was playing around last night with a journal page . The page was already inked with some distress inks which i had done last week & that was as far as i had got with it.
I had seen someone somewhere using acrylic paint on a stamp to put a back gound on there journal page so i thought why not try this myself.
It did'nt turn out that well as most of the imaged smudge & at one point i thought this page was going to be a disaster.
I had nothing to lose so i got out my Stazon ink & stamped the clock & circle images which were from PaperArtsy Hot Pick http://shop.paperartsy.co.uk/hot-pick-1102-3066-p.asp & stamped the words Tick Tock from my alphabets stamps.
I'm so glad i carried on as it work out ok in the end

Art Journal
This week over on http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards the art journaling prompt for this week is all about adding creating texture & layers on a page.
I've had some textured paper laying about which i no longer wanted , but rather then throw it out i started to tear it up & stuck it down on my page. I then gave it a good spray with some glimmer mist.
When this was dry i got a heart stamp & stamped over the top to add another layer.
I punched a couple of holes in a scrap piece of card & used this as my stencil for adding green acrylic paint .
While waiting for this to dry i then stamped another heart image onto card &coloured it in using my water colour pencils. I high lighted the edges of the heart images with my posca paint pens . i journaled the words "love is in the air " because after all it was valentines day earlier in the week.
I think i have managed to add quite a few layers & some texture to my page.

Chunky ATC
I joined a swap over at ukscrappers to make a chunky atc. The swap partner i was given had chosen the theme of Ravens & Crows.
It was my first time make a chunky atc from a piece of wood which has to measure the same as a normal atc but instead of it being flat it had to be between 1inch -1 1/2 inches thick.
I used a primer on the wood before painting on the black acrylic paint.
From metal foil i cut out the pieces to decorate the front, back, & sides to cover the chunky atc .
I then painted & embossed the metal with black acrylic paint and left it till it was nearly dry then wiped off some of the black paint. When this was completely dry i lighty dabbed over the top with gold acrylic paint which then gave it and aged look to the metal .
I attached the metal foil with a little glue & up holstery tack. I used nuts & bolts for the feet of the atc.
I painted a chip board frame with Viva gold crackle paint and was so pleased with the way it turned out .
The leaves & branches i cut using a Tim Holtzs die . I used distress in to coulour the leaves & stamped the pattern on the leaves .
I'm so delighted with how this turned out .
