Advent Calendar

After a week of doing battle with the sewing machine on & off  & getting stabbed by the pins countless of times I've finally finished the Advent Calendar for my grandchildren.

I'm not one for sewing & I'm still learning as I go along but pleased at long last I got their in the end.

Mini Album

With my  Bind It All I've made this 6x6 mini baby album .

The covers & five inside pages have all been covered using paper from a 12x12 pad which I have by DCWV called Baby Boy Stack.
I have so many little baby stickers & little quotes that I wanted to get them used up along with some paper from this paper pad & thought making a mini album not only gets some of these items used up it also makes me want to use  my unloved BiA again.
This was a quick & fun little album to make .
You've seen the front cover now these are the inside pages

 

I've still got plenty of paper left over so I'll be making another mini album soon.

 

 



Whats on You Work Desk Wednesday 277

Hello fellow crafters it's Wednesday so i'm heading over to Julia's to find out what other crafter's have on their desk today. Would you like to find out more then follow this link http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/ and all will become clear..
This is my desk today.
A mini album I making of my of my grandson. around the desk are the  things i'm using which are manly stickers, stamps ,& ribbons. Also two small ink pads .  Top left is a box of baby related things inside for scrapbooking.

Christmas Cards

I know I'm well behind in making my Christmas cards compared to a lot of other crafters .

I've made a start by making four cards.

 I wanted to try something a little with my Christmas cards & decided to cut the card in the shape of a large  tag, which was then decorated with paper, ribbon & a stamped Molly Bloom image that has been coloured. The snow flake rosette was made using a Tim Holtzs die.
My other to cards below are something else I was playing around with to see what I could come up with .

A new week & another new  challenge being set at  http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk 

Here is mine. This is my gorgeous & handsome grandson on his first day at school last week. 

The challenge was to  create a scrapbook LO using our topics : summer holiday / recent event / school / think about things you have learnt (lessons in life, skills, etc)

and incorporate these three word elements for 10 points each

• use a quote or statement
• place words on top of your photo
• use handwriting or script font .

A lovely challenge & nice & easy to create something .

Three tags I've made for this months tag swap on ukscrappers.

The theme for this month was autumn leafs , mushrooms & caterpillars.

My crackled back ground for the tags was done using acrylic paints & crackle glaze by Paperartsy.

The stamped images are stamps from the dylusions range. 

Scrapbook Layout

The weekly challenge on  http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk  for this week was to use a photo of Grandparents, use stickers /ribbon & punches/die cuts.

This my take on the challenge.

The back ground paper is from Artic Frog , I've manage to use all the suggested items from this weeks challenge along with a project life card which I got in a project life swap also from ukscrapper.
