Advent Calendar

After a week of doing battle with the sewing machine on & off  & getting stabbed by the pins countless of times I've finally finished the Advent Calendar for my grandchildren.

I'm not one for sewing & I'm still learning as I go along but pleased at long last I got their in the end.

Mini Album

With my  Bind It All I've made this 6x6 mini baby album .

The covers & five inside pages have all been covered using paper from a 12x12 pad which I have by DCWV called Baby Boy Stack.
I have so many little baby stickers & little quotes that I wanted to get them used up along with some paper from this paper pad & thought making a mini album not only gets some of these items used up it also makes me want to use  my unloved BiA again.
This was a quick & fun little album to make .
You've seen the front cover now these are the inside pages

 

I've still got plenty of paper left over so I'll be making another mini album soon.

 

 



Whats on You Work Desk Wednesday 277

This is my desk today.
A mini album I making of my of my grandson. around the desk are the  things i'm using which are manly stickers, stamps ,& ribbons. Also two small ink pads .  Top left is a box of baby related things inside for scrapbooking.

Christmas Cards

I know I'm well behind in making my Christmas cards compared to a lot of other crafters .

I've made a start by making four cards.

 I wanted to try something a little with my Christmas cards & decided to cut the card in the shape of a large  tag, which was then decorated with paper, ribbon & a stamped Molly Bloom image that has been coloured. The snow flake rosette was made using a Tim Holtzs die.
My other to cards below are something else I was playing around with to see what I could come up with .

A new week & another new  challenge being set at  http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk 

Here is mine. This is my gorgeous & handsome grandson on his first day at school last week. 

The challenge was to  create a scrapbook LO using our topics : summer holiday / recent event / school / think about things you have learnt (lessons in life, skills, etc)

and incorporate these three word elements for 10 points each

• use a quote or statement
• place words on top of your photo
• use handwriting or script font .

A lovely challenge & nice & easy to create something .

Three tags I've made for this months tag swap on ukscrappers.

The theme for this month was autumn leafs , mushrooms & caterpillars.

My crackled back ground for the tags was done using acrylic paints & crackle glaze by Paperartsy.

The stamped images are stamps from the dylusions range. 

Scrapbook Layout

The weekly challenge on  http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk  for this week was to use a photo of Grandparents, use stickers /ribbon & punches/die cuts.

This my take on the challenge.

The back ground paper is from Artic Frog , I've manage to use all the suggested items from this weeks challenge along with a project life card which I got in a project life swap also from ukscrapper.

So my desk this morning is like this .

Top left you'll see a bag of small pieces of card , & top right is my box of bits & bobs which I'll show you more in a mo.

Below these I've a scrapbook layout I'm working on & today I hope to have it finished.

The last two weeks people have wanted to see & wanted to know  just what all those bits & bob looked like in the box that's always at the top right of my desk.
Well here it all is .
It's all little bits for my scrapbooking mostly.

Tag

I've just joined a group on Facebook called The Dylusions Facebook Challenge that has just started up .

The challenge for September is , use Turquoise , pink & leaves. You can do a journal page , Tag or atc. Also you must use mostly dylusions products.

As you can see I've opted for a tag for this challenge.

I've used the Dylusions spray inks Turquoise & Bubble gum pink. The stamps used are Ocean background which gave me the leaves & the rest of the stamped images are from the under the water stamps set.

Septembers Post card Swap

Here is my post card for the September .

The theme for this month is  Architecture/Stone. As summer isn't quite over yet I've gone with the seafront view which fits well with this theme set by Sam over at ukstamps.

My back ground colour have been done using acrylic paints & I have used watered down acrylic paints to colour my stamped images.
The building is a stamp from paperartsy & the rest are stamps from Crafty individuals .

Whats on your work desk wednesday 274

Today on my desk I have A tub of acrylic paints & a box of bits & pieces for my mini albums .

On my craft mat I have some atc's I working on . They are just in the planning stage right now , I've stamp a couple of images out & just seeing how it all might work together on the atc.

So that my boring desk today with nothing else to show you all.
