A really grey & wet day today . I've been going through last years Christmas cards & cutting them up to make present tags for this year.

Scrapbook Layout

Here's my finished layout from yesterday. 

This is for the weekly challenge over on ukscrappers.

The paper chosen is from K&Co .

I've used a word stamp ice cream which is a snag 'em' stamp.

The camera was a free down load from Mary- Anne . 

The other stamped words are Hero arts stamps.

The photo I've used is a bowl of ice cream, topped with cream , sprinkles & a cherry which was made for my little Grandson.

Wednesday already , so i'm hopping over to julia's http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/  place for so blog hopping & seeing what everyone is up too today.

So on to my desk. I'm doing a layout for a the weekly challenge over on uk scrapper.

The ice cream photo is the one that i'm using . I've got my paper ready & i've stamped Ice cream on it. I've also got some scraps of paper to the right that i may use if i can . Other then that i'm still thinking .

Altered Wooden Arch

I cover the wooden arch with Rangers foil sheets that had been put through an one of Tim holtzs embossing folders.
The foil sheets were a little to bright for my liking with a sponge I gently dabbed on Paperartsy's Acrylic paint Pumpkin soup & Guacamole .
The little man is a Stampotque stamp & the over stamped images are Dylusions stamps.
An old piece of chain has been added as the monsters lead.

Mini Album

 I made this mini album for my friend in America & now that she has received it  i know i can now post picture on my blog.
We decided to make a mini album using Katy Ota hidden hinge system.
I thought my friend would like a Travel/holiday album so here it is.
On the front cover i use Stampendous Heirloom Interiors paper & to cover the spine i used the travel paper from Paper Maina.
All through the album i used Paper Mania's travel papers & embellishments.

Just a warning this post is very picture heavy because you will be surprised just how much you can fit inside these albums.
I forgot to say also that the size for this album was 7x5 inches.
So here we go the first page . With the large tag that pull out in all the pockets through the album i have included lots of lose ticket & journaling pieces to be used in anyway that suits.
I think it's better giving the person who is receiving the album the choice of how they would like finish off the album once they have put there photo's in.
On this tag you can see the front & the back of the tag from the first page.

 
below is a folding flap page which is also part of the first page.

 On the next page there is a tag on the left for a photo, plenty of room for another photo in the middle & on the right space for a photo on the front of the pocket .With this pocket there is a tag that pulls out from the top & one from the side , all for photo's. So in total you could put 5 here .
On the front of the small pocket on the left i have attach with a paper clip the 12 months of the year so when my friend has a holiday she can then stick the month that she travel.

 The photo on the left is The three pull out tags from the above pages.

The next page has a small pocket on the right with a tag & another pull out tag on the side. & again lose journaling paper & journaling tags
 

Page 4 now , you can get three photo's on these pages , one on the left , one on the right & one on the tag which pulls out from the side pocket

 Once again lots of lose tickets & tag to use.

Canvas

My canvas is 11 x 9 inches.

I started by putting on a thin coat of gesso on my canvas. Then i mixed a little water with Paperartsy acrylic paint Pumpkin soup & Guacamole, & with a fairly large brush i used sweeping stokes up & down to give me  my base colour.

Once dry i then used Viva Terra , Terracotta through a Dylusions stencil around the sides which gives a lovely raised surface. Viva Terra drys very quickly so i didn't have to wait to long to stippled over it with Pansy & Very Berry acrylic paint from Paperarsty.

On a piece of Grunge paper a sprayed Dylusion spray ink Squeezed  Lemon, Bubblegum Pink , Lemon Zest  & Distress stain Shabby Shutter. I used a flower & leaf stamp from Paperartsy to make my grunge rose & petals. The smaller flowers were made from a small stamp i had. 

The round sliver things are from my friend Sue & are made when having to punch holes into metal . The chip board butterfly has had a little distress crackle on & dabbed with acrylic paint. The words is a Tim Holtzs stamp which has been stamped on a chip board shape which was already decorated.

So on my desk I have a scrapbook layout I working on for this weeks challenge over on UKScrapper.
I knew if I waiting there would be a challenge in which I could finally do where I could use these pictures.
Nothing is stuck down as yet because I still trying to get it just right.
Top right are some scrapbook scraps in a tray & below that a box of ink.
