For whats on your work desk wednesday i'm showing the box i'm in the process of making for the bracelet that is now fisished.
I got out my crafters companion box maker which has'nt seen the light of day for a few years now. It was another one of those thing that you see & buy thinking thats just what i need i'd used that ,,, I used it once and then put it away like many other things i've brought.
Anyway i was looking through  my paper stash & could'nt believe that i had paper which has the same colours as the beads on the bracelet.
I've lined the inside of the lid & base
Both papers are from K&Co
The lace & two flowers have been glimmer misted
with Tattered Angles Tuscan
Bright pink ribbon ,
My plans for the box lid are to have the lace trim wrapped round the outside with the pink ribbon placed on topto form another band round the box.
The flower paper will be used to decorate the top of the lid along with the two flowers as well.

WOYWW # 111

Here we are again another wednesday to show whats on our desks.

Today on my desk i've a bracelet i'm making . I've never done any jewellery making before so this is a first for me.

I thought i'd start with something quite simple , which it need's to be for me as i'm not known for being the sharpest pencil in the pack, LOL. 

Anyway i've seen one being made & all you have do is thread beads at random on to the memory wire.

Sand castle mini album

Finally got round to making this mini album of our gransons 1st trip to the seaside last year.
The album is Kaiser craft beyond the page mdf bare album called The Castle . Great for using as a litlle boys castle album or Sand castle as i have used it.

Here's what i've used to decorate this album . I wanted to keep it quite simple & not fussy.

I painted it first with Acrylic paint , colour is Antigue Mum.

The paper & stickers used were from 12x12 Echo park Splash Collection.

The rub on's were by Reminisce called beach party.

Although it was the end of August ,it was a very windy day , but it did'nt stop us having a great day at Great Yarmouth & being able to share in the fun of our grandsons first experience of the seaside. 

Note Book

I go to a small crafting group once a week & as a small group we swap & share things that someone else might not have but wants. The ladies are all very kind.
One of the ladies at the craft group has lent me something & as a thank you i thought i'd make her a note book using  Graphic 45 papers again.
The note book is 6x4 inches .

WOYWW #110

I've spent the last few days decorating two tags.

I like the results but i think my favorite is the one on the left which has slightly darker tones.

 Now completed this morning

I used one of my old medallion stamp which to be honest i'd forgotton i had them. I also used a swirls stamp . These i stamped  with StazOn Saddle Brown.
I used Distress inks Spiced Marmalade, Crussed Olive, Fired brick, Dried Marigold, denim blue.on both tags to get that blended look from the colours used.
To get the colour insde the medallion image i used my trusty water colour brush to pick up a little ink and used it as a water colour.
The white was a Sakura glaze pen which is something else i've not used in  such a long time.
Added embellishments were Graphic 45 butterflies , blooms , brad , & a couple of  gems .
After using the medallion stamp & my Sakura pen it's left me wondering how many of us have still got these thing & when was the last time they were used.

The only things on my desk at the moment are the two match boxes i've just finished altering.
I'm really leased with the way they have turned out.

Here is how i've made them
I started of by painting the match boxes with  black Metallic acrylic paint, which i also used to paint the wooden beads that i used as feet for the boxes.
The paper & images were from the Graphic 45  Steampunk Debutante Collection.
I've used the glossy accent on the butterflies .
The flower on the smaller box was coloured using the Bronze Tattered Angels glimmer mist.
The larger box i placed two of the Tim Holtz gears on the hair of the lady image.
One last thing i used was a little bit of Green bling here & there on the butterflies & cogs.

Cards

I spent the afternoon making card for swap that i'm taking part in on ukscrappers. You have to make five cards . The theme for this month is flowers . I've made four the same & one slighty different.

I decided to make get well cards as they are always handy to have in your stash of ready made cards.
