Birthday cards

Two birthday cards which are just right for someone that likes their Latte coffee.
I used Tim Holtzs Fresh Brewed Blue Print stamps.
To colour the images I used Distress inks , Walnut stain ,Antique Linen, Broken China, Rusty hinge & scattered straw.
I used glossy accents on some of the coffee bean which makes them stand out more.
I cannot take full credit for the idea of making these cards because it was a card lift from my from Sue.
I loved what she had done with hers & wanted to make a few that were similar to her cards.

Scrapbook layout Fun

I've made another layout for a Challenge on Facebook made by Lisa-Jane.
Lisa-Jane said make a layout using paper from 6x6 paper pads.
I only have a couple 6x6 paper pads as I mainly just buy 12x12 papers.
I started with the 12x12 sheet of paper & cut it down  to an 8x8 layout because I wanted this on to go in my smaller album.
I used two cutting dies which were  my stamping up top note die & Tim holtzs leaf dies & three sheets of paper from the 6x6 pads.
These are the two paper pads used to made this layout .

Two Scrapbook layouts.

Two layouts I made for two different challenges on a Facebook group .
My first was to scrap lift a layout made by a lady called Beth.
I've used paper & stamps by  TPC Studio called Transportation which is paper I've had in my stash for a couple od year now.
My second layout was to  take five things from your stash to create a layout.
which should include new & old paper ,
I'd chosen
1, Newest paper which was the base paper ,
2, Older paper (TPC Studio's),
3, Gromlets, by We Are Memory Keepers,
4, Punch,
5, Used my Big Bite so set the Gromlets
It was good to finally use up just about  the rest of this paper collection from TPC Studios & the transportation theme fitted so well with the photo's I had.

Tag Swap For May

UKScrappers.co.uk  have a tag swap running each much & the theme  for May  is  an open theme with do anything you like.
Here are my three tags for this months swap.
I embossed my tags with a Paper Mania  embossing folder & went over the tags with Distress inks  Tumbled glass & Rusty Hinged.
The die cuts used were from a Tim Holtzs die .
I coloured them using Rusty Hinge & Cosmic shimmer blue sparkle texture paste.
I've used up some lace trim from me stash  to add clothes to the body form shape & finished it off by adding a single bead to make a necklace .
Cotton has been added to the cotton reel & a dress pin .
I threaded some Toffee Beige seam binding through the top of the tag

Gappy

I'd seen a Challenge of Sue's blog for May asking you to make a layout using this sketch.
If you'd like to find out more about Sue's challenge hope over to her blog to find out more.
[may%2520sketch%255B11%255D.jpg]
When I sure it I know I had two photo of my grandson which would work really well with this sketch.
I've used two photo's of my grandson when he's front teeth came out.
The paper I've used is all by Echo Park called Bundle of Joy along with the alpha letters for my title.
I'd used Versa color Cyan to add a little colour to edges of my paper which ties it all together & takes away the raw white edge of the paper .
With a tab punch I punched out two tabs & added the dates of when each front tooth came out as a reminder.

May Postcard Swap

May's postcard swap over at http://www.ukstampers.co.uk/forums, has a theme of Oriental so this is my finished postcard for this months swap.
I used Gelatos to make my back ground using pinks & a light purple.
The stamps I  used were given to me & I believe that came free with a magazine.
I used black Archival  ink to stamp the images & coloured in with my whisper pens
