Here is what i've been working on recently.

I've used a memory box die called the dancing Skeleton. Isn't he great.

My back ground has been created with Dylusion spray inks, & stamps & Tim holtz distress inks.

What a right old mess on my desk this week.

To the right on the desk you'll see a coffin that i've painted.
Now i've just got to decorated it so that is why my desk is messy with bits of this & that.

Mrs Claus

I've been knitting this for about two weeks now & finally put the finishing touches to Mrs Claus.
Last year i made Santa Claus & did'nt get chance to make Mrs Claus.
It's took me about two weeks to get this done.

I really like the holly & berries i had to knit for her bun.

I've got to make another Santa now for my Grandson.

Trick or Treat bags

I'm ahead of my self getting all the treat bags ready for Halloween night when the chidren come knocking for trick or treat .

I've used a Martha Stewerts spiders wed edge punch , orange, yellow, & black card, which have been stapled to card cello bags filled with sweets & creepy things. 

I think the children that come calling will like their spooky treat bags.

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. I wanted to do something in my journal to remind me what lovely colours you get from plants & trees at this time of the year.
I've used Distress stains , Broken china, wild honey, mustard seed ,Peeled paint for my first layer of my back gound.
I used Stamps by Stampendous Fall Season , i stamped out the large leaves with Acrylic paints , very berry, terra cotta, hazelnut.
The large letters i've used are old Basic grey ones.
The small leaves have been stamped in reds & brown's .

Halloween Treat Boxes

 

I've been making some treat boxes in the shape of Coffins.

I found a free template for the coffins over on the Martha stewarts web site,  http://www.marthastewart.com/265416/coffin-treat-box

 

Inside mine as you can see have been filled  with garden fleece , a big spider, an eye ball , small bag of sweets & a skull or pumpkin which has sherbert inside.

The lids to the coffins have a cockroach on & a couple of bats. I used the hot glue gun over the cockroaches to make it look like  they have been caught by the spider.

Two coffins have been made with spotty card & two have been made using scraps of grey card.

Mini Coaster

Another coaster side finished .
The challenge was to use the frog head which is a stamp from the  Dylusion range.
The top one is Sue's ,  Left is Sheila's one  & mine is the right one.
Great challenge & wonderful works of art again .

This is my desk for this weeks Whats on your work desk Wednesday.
Sorry the picture qauilty is'nt very good but it's the best i could do for now.
So what am i making now you might wonder.
I'm making a start on the trick or treat fun bags for halloween at the end of the month.

I brought this rope ring from a junk shop for 50p, thinking i could alter it in some way, so here is what i've come up with.                

I started by wrapped some hemp rope around the ring, and covered a little whale in Decopatch paper.

I stuck the whale to the inside of the ring & added some sea shells.

Canvas

Have finished my little canvas now.

Here is how i made it.

I went over the canvas with an Acrylic paint Dabber (Hazelnut), & covered some off cuts grey board in Decopatch paper & Decopatch glue.

When everything was dry i rubbed on the Viva Blue Inka Gold around the edges.

I stamp & coloured some images with my Crafty Individuals stamps ( CI-278 & CI-272).
I've also used some of my shells & a little sand to add to the seaside theme,& filled a little bottle with sand.

So here we all are again another wednesday of fun over at julia's place for What's on your work desk wednesday, where we all show off our desks .
So here's mine.
Along the back are my boxes with spray inks & distress ink pad. On one box are some Crafty indiviual stamps & on another the rope ring  & a whale which has been covered with Decopatch paper, ( a project i'm still working on).
Left  is a canvas i'm working on now which has been painted & some piece's of card that has been cover with Decopatch paper as well. also a couple of stamped images.
The rest of my desk has my shells i've collected from the beach . I'm trying to find some small ones to use on my canvas.

Journal page

We had a visit to London Zoo last friday so i wanted to do something in my journal to remember this day.

I've used Dylusions Spray inks & leaf stamps which have been coloured with a green Poca paint pen.

The animal pictures have been cut out of a park map we had.

 

Halloween tags

Have been making some Halloween tags .
The stamps used are from Crafty Individauls, & Stampendous.
Spider web is one of Tim Holtzs embossing folders.
I've also used a Dylusions spray inks & distress inks.
