Mail holders

I've had this mail holder/organiser painted like this for nearly a year , so i thought i'd better get my act together & get it finished.

As you can see it was first painted with Sandal acrylic dabber.
It took me ages to decide on what paper to cover it in because i wanted both mail holders for my kitchen/dinning room.
I settled for the K&Co paper & one of thier flower  . To finish it off i added an odd piece of trim that i had.

Here is the second mail holder i decorated.
This i picked up in a charity shop for 50p .
It was given a quick rub down & painted in the same dabber as the one above.
More K&Co paper was used & K&Co embellisments.
Tim holtzs pin & ticket Dream.
The post mark & penny stamp , i stamped using two stamps from Paperartsy.
Lastly some  ribbon round the bottom.
It seems a shame to put anything in them & cover up most of the paper.

WOYWW 164

Wow summer has finally arrived here . It's been lovely since the weekend .        So this is my desk , my journal is open with another double page complete.  I have used Dylusions spray ink for my back ground & mostly Dylusions stamps a part from the girl which is a Stampotique stamp.   The white on my page is gesso which i spread over a stencil. The hinges in the middle are Paperartsy stamps , which i stamped on to masking tape coloured & cut out. The rest around my journal book as you can see are some of my stamps, ink, pens, & glue.
Here is a close up of my journal page,

Three tags made for a swap i've taken part in over on ukscrappers.
The theme for the July tag swap was steampunk.
I first sprayed the tags with Dylusions Vibrant Turquoise & then used distress ink fired brick through a stencil & sliver acrylic paint .
All the stamped images & words are all Paperartsy stamps.

Time on My Hands, Art Journal

I want to share an art journal page that i'd done in the week.
I've cover my pages with Distress ink . When the ink was dry i splashed with water, waited a few seconds so that the water reacted with the ink then dabbed it with a paper towel.

With a stencil & Claudine Hellmuth, Sky blue acrylic paint I added some texture to my pages.
From a news paper I can across these hands & thought it would be a good idea to use them seeing that i did have too much time on my hands at times.
The idea using hands was given to me by my crafting friend Sue who had also used hands cut from magazines .     So here you can see the two hands i'd choosen to use & a Paperartsy flower clock thats i'd stamped & cut out.
So next i played around with how i wanted the hands & clock to work . I've also stamped my boarder & leaves using my Dylusions stamps , then coloured with Dewent water colour sticks.
Once everything was dry & i was happy with it all i then stuck the hands & clock in place & added the words using the MSE alphabet stamps.
With another Paperartys stamp i added the circles.
Here are the finished pages.

WOYWW # 163

Wow Wednesday again already.
So can only mean it's time for  Whats on your work desk wednesday . A day to show what projects your working on .
On my desk i'm working on a butterfly tag.
I cut my tag from some bright green card & added paper by K&Co . I stamped the butterfly stamp on to some more scrapbook paper with Archivil Aquamarine. The rose was sprayed with Tucan glimmer mist because it was a white rose.
I've used buttons on my tag then added some bling on top of them.
The trim at the bottom of my tag has still to be fixed down & will do that later on today then thats my tag finished.
I'm off to see what everyone else is doing today , so why not join me over to Julia's place & join in the fun   http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/

Art journal & canvas

Journal pages from Friday .
I've used Disstress stains for the back ground & a cogs & Gears stencil which did'nt come out to well i thought, so i stamped over it with stamps from Paperartsy in the same theme. The birds are also paperartsy.

I also finished another canvas i was working on .
I started with grey board which was covered in scrapbook paper .
The leaf was cut out of grunge paper & sprayed with Lily Pad (glimmermist)
The boarders top & bottom of the frame was cut using Tim Holtzs on the edge die which was then coloured with Mustard seed & wild honey Distress stain, & over stamped with a small swirly stamp in Memento Tangelo.
The chip board shape was coloured with Wild honey Distress stain & Tuscan glimmer mist, & then i add the rub on family words from Kaiser craft.  The rose was white so i spray that with Tuscan glimmer mist also. The butterfly is one from Prima.

WOYWW 163

I took this picture last night of my desk.
The book at the back is the atc book i made & has now had the front cover finished.
I was finishing off putting everything together on my tag yesterday afternoon.
It's another dylusions stamped image which a friend let me borrow. The image was coloured using  Sakura Gely roll pens , which i'm surprised they still work because i've had them for so long.
The back gound paper on the card tag was  a piece of left over scrapbook paper which i sprayed with Glimmer mist Lily Pad , &  Dylusions Bubblegum Pink.
I've added pink embellisments , lace & a Prima butterfly.
Now it's time to hop over to Julia's place to have some fun in showing just what's on your work desk wednesday , so come on jump right in here http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/
and before i go here is a close up  look of my now finished tag & ATC book
