The theme for Aprils tag swap from http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk was to use an embossing folder.
I've gone with mainly die cutting & embossing for my tag for this months swap.
Using coloured card I cut my tags out them put them through the big shot in a brick embossing folder. & then lightly sanded over the top of the embossed side to distress the bricks.I've used the rain man by Tim holts die & a die from First Editions for the clouds & rain drops.
With a fine nib journal pen I did an outline around the die cuts .
I've used foam pads to under the man &umbrella, one of the clouds & a few rain drops to lift it from the tags to give a bit of dimension .
Around the outside of the tag I used Viva Inka-Gold which gave the tag a bit of shimmer to the outer edge & with a Dylusions splash stamp I stamped on a piece of acetate using blue Stazon in to make it look like a wet puddle.
I had to stick it under the mans leg because I don't think there is a way of sticking down acetate without adhesive showing .
With some scrap red card i cut out the letters April Showers.
Brilliant!
