I wanted to make a Christmas tree skirt with some Christmas fabric I've been hoarding for a while.
I took some measurement from the Christmas tree stand & worked out I'd need the skirt to be at least 24inchs in diameter. I had to stick together some computer paper as I didn't have any paper wide enough.
Once I had the paper all stuck together I then found the centre & using a piece of string & a pencil I made a circle.
I cut the circle out & made folds so that I ended up with eight segments .
This is my home made template.
I cut eight pieces of fabric , wading & red backing fabric & set about sewing everything together.I used a large cup to draw round to cut a hole in the centre.
I finished the tree skirt of with red bias binding & made two ties as well.
I'm very pleased at how it turned out & can't wait to but it under our tree.
So hurry up Christmas Lol.
That looks brilliant Jill.
