I've gone back to working on my Mini album. I took this picture yesterday afternoon as i knew it would be the same way this morning. I'm hopng to get another page in my mini done later this afternoon.

Tags & Heart challenge

Two challenges which were set by myself & two crafting friends.

Here is our take on Tim holtzs January tag.

The first one is mine which i showed a few weeks ago & the two below were made but my lovely friends.

Sheila made the left one & Sue http://puppetdream.blogspot.co.uk  made the right one.

We are working on February's tag right now so watch this space.

 Sheila brought us three each mdf hearts for us to decorate as another challenge .
The theme was flowers & hearts , don't you just love how different we can make the same thing.
Mine is the top one , Sue's bottom left & Sheila is the right one.

On my desk i've a flower that needs fixing together & a heart which needs decorating for a challenge that i'm doing with two crafting friends.I must get it done today becasue i'll be seeing them tomorrow.

Wednesday madness again over on Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/ where we all show whats on our desk each week.

Here on my desk today is a mini albub i've made using my bind it all. A pile of photo's i'm looking through trying to pick which ones to use. & some lovely little boy Transportation papers , embellisment, & stamps from the TPC Studio  which i had for a while.

Altered Canvas

 I've joined a swap on UKscrapper to make an altered Canvas. There wasn't a theme so we could do anything we liked.
I thought I'd show how i altered my canvas for this swap. The canvas size is 5x7 inches.
First i painted my canvas with brown acrylic paint. I had a piece of material which i wanted to use for this canvas. I frayed the edges & stuck it to the canvas.

I needed to decorated the sides which was done using a Dylusions stencil & an acrylic dabber colour Pool. I needed a tape measure but didn't have one but had a stamp tape measure & stamped it on a piece of cloth using Archival Aquamarine.

with a die cut dress dummy i coloured it with Distress stain Wild Honey & then stamped over that with a B-line back ground stamp in Aquamarine. The I coloured a little corrigated card with Pool acrylic paint & then used a boarder punch to make the edges look nice.

I had to saw in half to wooden cotton reels for this project because using them whole didn't look right.

The cotton reels were coloured using Wild Honey & edged with Inka gold. The buttons have been cut from card & then painted with Pol acrylic paint , edged with inka gold  & a pattern stamped on top.

Here is the finished Canvas i'm going to find this hard to part with as i'm rather pleased on how it turned out.

Today on my desk i have two projects on the go. One is an altered canvas for a swap & the other is the starting of another swap i'm taking part in.
So to the left is the Canvas thats had some brown paint put on it , i know not very exciting at the moment is it. To the right is my pot with my paint brushes & behind that my box with stamps in.
Right front i have the letter C drawn out on corigated card ready to be cut out .

One last thing i like to say is , when i visit your blog i might only say a few word about what you have on your desk & that is only because i'm not very good at writing lots , so if i just say it's great or lovely i really do mean that & really do like what your showing us all.
